I would like to take a moment to thank the excellent staff team of MilitaryRP (the Intelligence Team and the Administrators) for their dedication and patient consideration while we have been working to improve the quality of your experience on MilitaryRP. I have observed many areas that could be improved upon. Once I saw these areas I could not unsee them. Naturally, I got carried away (to your benefit). Together with the experience and the watchful eyes of your staff members, we were all able to gather up some great ideas and make them into a reality for everyone. I am overjoyed to be able to present the latest flashy additions in this update of MilitaryRP to you all..

Some of the new features will likely be added to the other Garry's Mod servers that we operate as well - as their respective updates are made. Don't worry CityRP, DarkRP/APB, Star Wars/CWRP - we see you all! You will get some of these toys too. Today however, is about Military players. The men who serve deserve the best there is! Returning players want to see progress being made on their favorite servers. That's why we have put so much work into overhauling your features this time around and making sure you look good. Beautiful, even! We all need to die looking good. We also need more fucking Ammo! Lots more. We need to fucking shine, soldier! And shine we will!

We have overhauled the MRP administrative features from the inside out. There is now brand new spectation commands for quickly observing players, a much larger and better sit room for administrative interactions, and a comprehensive new language filtering system for the logs. Now everything will make much more sense from an admin's perspective. Player issued commands are easy to read and understand, spam has been stripped away, and some of the more sensitive commands will give other administrators a heads up upon being used. This will all fit together to create a much smoother working experience when deciding what to do.

Of course, anything can be a bit mundane if it is just all about rules, enforcing rules, and policies.. that shit is boring - don't get us wrong, MilitaryRP needs this new administrative polishing. That's why we took our time to do all that. A solid sense of stability and order can't be replaced.. but, seeing as how this IS MilitaryRP, we also need a decent fucking explosion here and there to hold up to our name! You're damn right. With that fighting spirit in mind, we have noticeably increased the force of all explosions within the server (any weapon that goes boom). No more little cherry bombs, people. This isn't the Fourth of July (Americans)! This is a damn war! The damage output and radius of each respective weapon has been configured to a more realistic value (dangerous as Hell). Try not to kill too many of your friends.

We have also added a brand new combat system that runs off of simple server event hooks (player death), complete with notifications for each death you cause or receive. This will ensure that combat is even smoother, providing you with more insight as you play. What's more - you will now earn cash rewards for kills during combat (for enemies within the opposing faction), as well as visible feedback when you take someone out! If you kill a player or get killed by a player then you will receive the ID of the person involved. If you kill a team member you will receive a warning about your mistake. This new heads up style prompts you with combat feedback immediately and removes a lot of unnecessary guesswork after the fight.

There is a lot more bundled within this latest round up updates including various bug fixes and quality of life improvements. This introduction is simply the tip of the changes, but you can sort it out for yourself. Please see all the specific details below, and enjoy everything live!

[DONE] Added the missing ranks to the admin prop limit list to restrict maximum limits to a reasonable figure (division leader+, 9999 > 200).

[DONE] Job: Insurgent: Minister of Justice is now tierless, just like the US: Major General role of the opposing faction, in order to maintain roleplay balance.

[DONE] Created a rewards system for kills. Killing an enemy member of the other faction gives payment (150) and a notification along with the victim's name and their Steam ID. Killing a team member gives a warning of friendly fire.

[DONE] Built a new sit room, complete with all the space you will need, new commands, and a better location. Now you can interact without the worry of talking over another person or being interrupted by other situations. +1

[DONE] Fixed all the server listings in the context menu (IPs).

[DONE] Created a custom command (/staff) to print details about online staff members to the console (staff only: T-Mod+). I have included the Steam IDs and UserGroups for easy copy and pasting. The other servers will probably receive this new feature as well when I do their next update! +1

[DONE] Removed the godforsaken 'checkping' message spam from PLogs and from the source of the error code (the Crash Menu addon). This fix alone should increase server performance by stripping out the cause of the constant spam. Mass /checkping commands were previously being triggered and stored in the PLogs database every time a player was in a vehicle (which includes the use of the 'Sit Anywhere' addon entity that is considered as a 'vehicle'). This spam would flood the commands section, overwriting everything else (as you can see), making the logs useless, slow to load, and ultimately slowing the server down as well by using up valuable resources. No more!

[DONE] Updated PLogs with a built in language filter for the 'Commands' section. Now the 'Commands' section will filter out unwanted/unnecessary messages, as well as make the desired messages easier to read and understand.

[DONE] Coded new compatibility for the ammo crates so that custom weapons can interact with them - including the 'icefuse_donator_cat_gun'.
